HELINA Digital Health Entrepreneurship Study
Health Informatics in Africa, (HELINA), is the Pan African Health Informatics Association and the African regional body of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA). The primary purpose of HELINA is to promote education and research in health informatics in Africa and the implementation of ethical, modern, and evidence-based health informatics solutions to enhance access to quality healthcare in Africa. HELINA has received funding from GIZ to support the mandate of deepening the digital health global goods agenda. To fulfil its mandate, HELINA will conduct studies to better understand the market for digital health global goods companies in Africa. Specifically, HELINA would like to conduct studies to assess opportunities for Digital Health Entrepreneurs (start-ups, small and medium-sized businesses, for-profit and non-profit organisations, and individual social entrepreneurs) in the Digital health global goods ecosystem by investigating existing solutions.
