Session notes:

  • The session started with an introduction to the team, given that Axel and Daniella are relatively new to the openIMIS Community.

  • A brief overview of the activities part of the Capacity Building work package as a background to the session.

  • Daniella then showed the directory of capacity building material that has recently been created in the wiki. This is a list of resources and trainings so that people can easily find what they are looking for (sorted by topic, target group, mode etc.). The idea is that when new material is created, it should appear in this list.

  • Axel then presented the development of the e-learning course, focusing on the logic of a modular structure.

  • He then talked about learning objectives and the hierarchy of learning pyramid to illustrate the different depths of learning outcomes. This was the basis to the group work.

  • Event though the break-out function did not work on Microsoft Teams, the participants were asked to think of learning objectives for the online course and to put them on the Miro board. Multiple helpful contributions were made.

  • After approx. 15min, Axel went through a few of the proposed learning objectives, showing the different levels (understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating etc.)

  • The final task was to collect some feedback from the Community on capacity development needs for the future. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and were not able to finish but there were nevertheless some suggestions made in the Miro board.
