Call for Expression of Interest

to join the Stakeholder Committee of the openIMIS Initiative

As the coordinating body of openIMIS, a Digital Public Good in health and social protection, the openIMIS initiative seeks to ensure better representation of its different stakeholder groups in the initiative’s Stakeholder Committee. It is calling for expressions of interest in Stakeholder Committee membership by

  • scheme operators using openIMIS (2 representatives on a rotating basis),

  • members representing the Implementers’ and Developers’ Committees (2 representatives each),

  • bilateral or multi-lateral organisations working on digital health and/or social protection and/or digitalisation (xx); and

  • unaffiliated health financing / social protection experts (2 experts)

Why to join?

As openIMIS Stakeholder Committee member, you will

·      Take part in the development of a Digital Public Good

·      Be part of implementations in partner countries

·      Engage with a global community of practice & learn from implementations

What is the mandate of the Stakeholder Committee?

The openIMIS Stakeholder Committee has an advisory role and supports the openIMIS Initiative to reach its objectives, i.e. to grow its community of practice, to build a robust yet flexible product and to increase the number of implementations of the tool for managing various types of social protection schemes.

Every year, Stakeholder Committee members come together for the Stakeholder Conference. With these meetings the openIMIS initiative facilitates the dialogue between Stakeholder Committee members and the community, with the expanded range of partners and stakeholder interested in the initiatives’ activities. Stakeholder Committee members set the agenda of the public sessions of this conference and are therefore in the position to trigger discussions and exchange that shapes the path for technical, functional and community development.

More detailed functions of the openIMIS Stakeholder Committee are spelled out in the Terms of Reference (link).
