Funding
The seed funding and the main funding phases of the openIMIS Initiative were ensured by a partnership of the governments of Switzerland and Germany. On this basis the following project phases were implemented through GIZ in her role as co-ordination desk of the openIMIS Initiative:
2016-06 - 2017-12 (Initiation)
2017-09 - 2020-08 (extended to 2021-04)
2020-09 - 2023-08 (ongoing)
In addition to sub-contracting partners for from the budget of the base funding, the co-ordination desk is also constantly exploring additional funding opportunities from different donors to allow for additional projects in the overall project portfolio.
