User Acceptance Test

User Acceptance Test

Content

Background

The openIMIS community organises user accptance tests (UAT) as part of the six-monthly Release Cycle . The knowledge hubs are reaching out to partner organisations and voluntary testers to assign them to specific testcases. These are defined on a specific testing platform under TestLink , where the results of each test cycle are also recorded. Detected issues are immedeatly sent to the Service Desk for bug-fixing.

It’s easy to join the testing activities - and it’s a great learning experience to get to know openIMIS. Just send an email to contact@openimis.org, if you want to be part of the regular release UATs.

Scope of Testing

The UAT will focuses on the core enhancements introduced in the new release, specifically:

  • Enhanced User Interface (UI): Validating the new navigation patterns and dashboard accessibility.

  • Core Workflows: End-to-end testing of enrollment, claims processing, and payment modules.

  • Mobile Readiness: Assessing performance and data entry efficiency on mobile devices (crucial for field-based students).

  • Modular Interoperability: Ensuring seamless data exchange between new and existing modules as per the latest technical documentation.

Expectations & Requirements

We are looking for testers who can provide objective feedback and identify potential roadblocks before the global rollout.

  • Who can join: Students (Public Health, IT, or Development), administrative staff, and current openIMIS users.

  • Time Commitment: Approximately 4 to 6 hours total, which can be completed asynchronously during the testing window.

  • Technical Requirements: Access to a computer or smartphone and a stable internet connection. No prior coding knowledge is required.

  • Key Responsibilities:
