Session I: Short profile of speakers

• Jan Kennis , D4D Lead Expert / Enabel

Jan Kennis is the Lead Expert in Digital for Development (D4D) at the Belgian development agency Enabel. His role is to coordinate & share the expertise of D4D while ensuring further development of the D4D portfolio at Enabel. He has 10 years of experience in development cooperation, including in education and health. He has focused throughout his career on the implementation of digital solutions and digital transformation to improve development impact. He believes that we all need to ensure that everyone, regardless of gender, age or location, knows how to navigate our digital world with the objective of her/his own professional and personal development.

• Soro DOFEREGOUO, Technical Assistant in Health Financing / Enabel Niger

 SORO Doferegouo works as Technical Assistant in health financing at Enabel in Niger since September 2020. He has a master in actuarial science, and is specialised in health financing with more than 15 years of experience. His experience spans over five African countries in implementing health financing projects both demand and supply sides, health insurance and health insurance information systems.

• Heri MARWA, Country Director / PharmAccess Tanzania

 Heri Marwa works as a country Director at PharmAccess Foundation, Tanzania office since January 2019. He has a medical doctor, specialized in health financing and systems with more than 15 years’ experience working in digital health and health system strengthening programs.

• Saurav Bhattarai, Advisor, openIMIS Coordination Desk / GIZ

 Saurav Bhattarai is an adviser GIZ, in the team that forms the Global Coordination Desk of the openIMIS initiative. In his current role, he supports various implementations of openIMIS exchange knowledge and be a part of the community of practice. Prior to this, Saurav was supporting the implementation of openIMIS in Nepal for managing the national social health insurance scheme.
