CC2021: Idea Collection
Please add your ideas to the list below to include it as a session during the Community Connect 2021. Don’t worry if there are too many ideas than we have time for during the Community Connect - we will find time for the topics in subsequent community calls (IC, DC, Gumzo, or Bhela).

1 | Implementation use cases for cash payment in openIMIS | We are all aware of use cases in current openIMIS implementations which deal with payments (cash or otherwise) (in the form of contributions and claims reimbursement). As we are working towards developing a payment layer in openIMIS, it would be great if we could spend some time around thinking of other potential use cases for openIMIS (in health and social protection) where managing payments would be required.
2 | Formal sector: managing payroll information | The formal sector module has the ability to use payroll information to calculate contributions etc. When openIMIS is implemented for managing a scheme such as pensions, a large amount of payroll information will be collected over time - what standards should be adopted in the recieving/storing of payroll information? How can we make interoperability with variety of HR systems from employers easier?
3 | openIMIS introductory e-learning course - marketing & linked learning resources | The four modules of the openIMIS introductory e-learning course have been developed and will go online over the next months. The course is targeting mid-level government officials, with a background in (either) health financing and/or ICT. Each course module will include references to other (openIMIS) learning resources that can deepen the understanding on specific aspects. In this session the modules will be briefly presented. The community will then identify additional learning resources and brainstorm on marketing activities around the launch of the course.
4 | Link to the Social Protection Convergence Initiative | There is currently a project underway to support the convergence initiative in their efforts to define a framework and standards for digitally support to social protection instruments. This session could start a discussion between the convergence initiative and the openIMIS product group: “What do they need from us and what do we expect from them?” |

5 | Monitoring Evaluation and Learning of an openIMIS implementation | Several implementations of openIMIS are ongoing in various countries. It is important to learn from previous implementations to improve the quality of future implementations. Therefore, a MEL guide could suggest to anyone implementing openIMIS a set of activities, process and indicators to monitor, evaluate and learnt from their implementation. |
