Nigeria / Implementation Details

The Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) of the Kaduna State in Nigeria had approached the ILO in early 2022 to support them in the upgrade of their digital systems for the overall management of The Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Scheme. Given the nature of the health insurance scheme having requirements that could be supported by openIMIS relatively easily, the ILO proposed to customize openIMIS to meet the needs of KADCHMA. This proposal was accepted by KADCHMA. After KADCHMA has been working with the ILO team to finalize its requirements, including detailing out existing and new business processes, 2M Corp has won a tender to implement the required changes into openIMIS. In May 2024 2M Corp conducted user trainings with KADCHMA personnel.
