Objectives of the meeting

  • Provide updates and knowledge sharing on latest developments in the various aspects of openIMIS.

    • Functional advancements (Modular migration completed, formal sector, payment module, CORE-MIS merger)

    • Expanded and new implementations (esp. Cameroon)

    • Transition in governance structure (Funder Group; Stakeholder Committee, Knowledge Hubs)

  • Initial orientation and idea collection on up-coming developments (next programme phase)

  • Observation of multiple implementations of openIMIS under Ministry of Public Health in Cameroon (HIV fee elimination scheme, health voucher scheme, a.o.)

 

Community specific activities

  • Onboarding of new community members & first in-person meeting of Community since 2019

  • Learn together and tap into the experience of fellow developers, implementers, users …

  • Collect, analyse and take action based on feedback and inputs across diverse task teams and implementations 

  • Develop joint strategies and aligned activity plans

  • Allow space for highlighting members contributions and show the impact of community work

  • Enable coordination between members, and between openIMIS coordination desk and members for smooth collaboration

  • Provide re-assurance on the fun and value of forming and acting as an open-source community
