The openIMIS Initiative is happy to announce the October software release of 2024! The current release further extended and improved the functionalities developed during the CORE-MIS migration project with strong support and feedback from several World Bank implementation teams in countries. The main activities in all four phases of the social protection delivery chain (Assess, Enroll, Provide, Manage) are now handled even more efficiently, qualifying openIMIS even more as a robust and dynamic social protection information system. As always, the developers committee has bundled an exciting mix of other updates and additions into this release: The merger with the CORE-MIS software from The World Bank has concluded the current project phase. openIMIS has received additional and improved functionality to cover the basic processes of a full social protection delivery chain from intake and simple targeting to payout of benefits. A new module for Grievance Management was added as a joint contribution from the Gambian UHC Implementation and the CORE-MIS merger project. As a spin-off effect from the CORE-MIS migration project, openIMIS was able to increase compliance to the GovStack standard specifications significantly, qualifying openIMIS as an official GovStack building block. The team from Nepal has again contributed a number of features back into the main package that proved useful during daily work with the system. Many bug fixes and performance improvements were applied based on feedback from the field. Special investments were provided for security improvements.
