How to recover your openIMIS password

If you can't log in openIMIS because you have forgotten your password, you can use the reset functionality as described below. 

You need to configure the Email settings to allow sending emails. 

Step-by-step guide

  1. On the login page, click on the link "Forgot password?"

  2. On the next screen, enter your openIMIS Username and new Password, and click on "Submit".

  3. You will receive an email with a link to confirm the change. Click on the confirmation link.

  4. On the new page, enter your openIMIS Username and Password that you entered in Step 2, and click on "Submit".

  5. Login to openIMIS with your Username and new Password. 

Forgot password email template can be changed by updating "IMIS\Templates\ForgotPassword.html" in Web Application solution.
