Aim & Objectives
The implementation of openIMIS in Nepal provides a great opportunity for countries or scheme operators exploring the use of the tool to learn about the advantages that it could have on their scheme. In this regard, the Health Insurance Board of Nepal and GIZ Support to the Health Sector Programme in Nepal are organizing a 3 day study-tour in Nepal to allow participants to observe the use of openIMIS for various business processes. The study tour will provide the participants to interact with various officials from the scheme operator, health service providers, and beneficiaries.
The main business functions, organizations that would be covered in the study tour are:
1. Social Health Insurance scheme management [ Health Insurance Board,
Kathmandu]
2. Beneficiary management [Health Insurance Board, Pokhara office]
3. Claims Entry [Health Facilities in Pokhara]
4. Claims Adjudication [Health Insurance Board, Kathmandu]
