Current Implementations
openIMIS is a software designed to support different health financing models and currently supports the following schemes in various countries:
Tanzania – Decentralized (District level) government run health insurance scheme targeting the informal sector which is now moving towards regional level pooling
Nepal – Centralized (National) government supported (through the Health Insurance Board) social health insurance scheme targeting the informal sector
Cameroon, Chad and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) – Church supported community based health insurance schemes/mutuelles targeting primarily rural and informal sector population
