Software Concern

The success of health protection schemes such as a social health insurance requires highly efficient implementation of multiple, complex business processes. Scheme operators in low- and middle-income countries struggle to achieve efficiencies in their scheme implementations without the appropriate use of digital technologies. However, they are faced with the challenge of expensive licensing fees for software that could help them gain these efficiencies.

openIMIS is an open-source software tool for the digitalisation and efficient management of health financing workflows. Currently being used to manage a variety of health protection schemes in Cameroon, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nepal and Tanzania, openIMIS offers seamless connections between beneficiaries, health service providers and payers. Without licensing fees!
