Release Note

The openIMIS Initiative is happy to announce the October software release of 2025!

The current release mainly focuses on bug-fixing, performance improvements and minor functionality upgrades. It also contains new versions of the mobile apps which are now fully compatible with the modular architecture of openIMIS.

There is a special twist about the current release: for the first time in over six years of open-source development we were supported by a newly onboarded maintenance team, which managed to safely land the plane within the defined corridor. To us, this is very strong evidence that the philosophy behind the openIMIS community works and that our processes are robust and transparent. A big thank you to the new maintenance team from https://openimis.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OP/pages/4561797509 , https://openimis.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OP/pages/835485717 for boldly taking over this responsibility and to the whole openIMIS community for supporting them during this journey, especially the team from https://openimis.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OP/pages/835682333. It was a real pleasure seeing so many people with the same vision work towards a common goal: a relieable software product that can improve the lives of many.
