Provider

A provider includes all caregivers and any others who have the right to claim payments under the insurance scheme. Most typically a provider is a professional person (physician, nurse, dentist, therapist) or a facility (hospital, clinic, home health agency) including suppliers of therapeutics (medications from a pharmacy, medical supplies from a store, orthopedic supplies, etc.
