Data Import (User Manual)

The Data Import functionality allows administrators to pull data into the system from external APIs. This is useful for syncing beneficiaries or other records from external systems into openIMIS.

Prerequisites

  • The API configuration (e.g., ExampleIndividualETLService) must be defined in the backend source code.

  • Only APIs configured by developers will appear in the Selected API dropdown.

Import Steps

  1. Navigate to the Social Protection → Data Import menu.

  2. Select the appropriate API from the dropdown list.

  3. Click the PULL DATA button.

  4. A confirmation dialog will appear asking if you’re sure.

  5. Click CONFIRM to initiate the API pull.

The data will then be fetched from the selected API and processed according to the defined workflow.

⚠️ Note: If the API is not properly configured in the backend, this functionality will not work. Always consult with your developer or technical administrator before pulling data.
