Proposal to call this Monthly Implementers Committee Meeting the ‘openIMIS Bhela'. Bhela is the Nepali word for a gathering.
No objection to proposal.
Uwe gave a run down of the tools, opened the possibility of re-evaluating tools which we are or are not using.
Past openIMIS implementation has been hampered by lacking funds.
In response BMZ & SDC offered to create a fund to help with “catalyzing” implenentation
Not an ongoing fund meant to fund a whole scheme - only meant to be used for overcoming the initial barrier costs
Countries with development cooperations with Germany and Switzerland or both will have high priority in applying for this funding.
Applicants should be scheme implementers, who preferably have a clear idea of their schemes, their SOPs already defined, and definitions and business processes in place
The fund can be used for software customization and for capacity development

From a scheme operators perspective application is a 2-step approach (described in detail in the above link):
Expression of interest: Fill out the form and send to the implementation desk, conduct a pre-feasibility study, and get agreement from donors to conduct feasibility study
Feasibility study: Conduct a study of the situation, the scheme, the context, and the needs for implementation, followed by a second approval process by donors and specification of size and modality of support
Swiss TPH is currently designing capcaity development and training materials for the use on the wiki and through an online course.
Currently deciding what platform to use for the course following a specific set of criteria, particularly the sustainability of the chosen platform will be important.
Expected date of completion of the design of the online course is mid-April.
Planning on building functional roadmap. Currently no list exists of all existing functions of the openIMIS platforms.
Need to map current functions, and discuss possible future functions.
