The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) assesses the openIMIS Initiative, evaluates strategic developments, proposes on system architecture and new functional requirements. The members of the TAG will be nominated by the Steering Group consisting of a Core Group and additional experts depending on the discussed topics.

The TAG meets 2-3 times per year. Members are not paid for their work. Their main activities include commenting on strategic developments and functions of the release cycle. The Program Coordination desk recommends members for the TAG to the Steering Group. The Steering Group then officially invites members (for a 2-year term).


The TAG consists of members coming from the following backgrounds:

  • eHealth Framework / Interoperability
  • Health Insurance and Financing
  • Software Development / System Architecture
  • Open Source Community
  • User Country Representatives
