Concept

During a workshop with ILO and openIMIS coordination desk in June 2024, it was agreed that several partners and stakeholders from openIMIS would undertake a study tour to a partner country with an existing openIMIS implementation. The visit would allow to observe openIMIS implementations closely and provide an opportunity to exchange with partners (scheme operators) who are using, managing, and benefitting from this Digital Public Good (DPG) .

Additionally, after the study tour, a requirement workshop will be organized. During this workshop, the requirements for the formal sector will be defined, and an expert in this area will guide participants through the process. For this workshop, various resources can be utilized, such as:

Nepal could be selected as the location for the study tour due to its extensive implementation of openIMIS, including multiple applications across different social protection schemes in partnership with multilateral organizations like the ILO.
