Digital Square manages a very transparent and collaborative Open Application Process (OAP) to identify relevant proposals in three major phases:

| Concept Note | Applicants prepare concept notes as expressions of interest, outlining the scope and basic strategy of their project. Digital Square and GIZ then identify out-of scope proposals and remove them from the process. |

The winners of the call for application will be rewarded with contracts according to the nature of the applicant. Depending on the legal form of the enterprise (not-for-profit or for-profit) funding contracts or service contracts will be awarded.
