In 2010 the Support Project for the Health Districts in Chad (Programme d'Appui aux Districts Sanitaire au Tchad - PADS), funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, began supporting a network of mutual health organisations organizations as part of its contribution to the achievement of Universal Health Coverage in the country.
How the scheme uses openIMIS
In 2018 Swiss TPH supported PADS to digitalise digitalize the operations of the Mutuelle des santé Borsa, a mutual health organisation organization in Danamadji. As part of the pilot, openIMIS was configured and adapted for the use in beneficiary management, claims management, claims review and reporting. Systems administrators, managers and , enrollment offers , and a medical doctor were trained to use the system.
