The openIMIS Initiative is happy to announce the October software release of openIMIS for this year. Being an Anniversary Release, the developers have put in a lot of new and impressive features:

  • An AI module that supports automatic claims adjudication

  • Modules to allow to set up schemes for the formal sector

  • A new set of FHIR APIs (R4) that allow to connect to external beneficiary registers or 3rd party insurance systems

  • More modules that were migrated into the new modular architecture

  • Updated mobile app

  • New data synchronisation module for DHIS2 data

Furthermore, a number of improvements in the application itself and in the interoperability layer have been made. Feel free to browse the full list of changes in the Release Notes and to check out the usual links for further information and downloads:

Beta Test

Starting with the 2021 October release (the “Anniversary Release”), the openIMIS Initiative opens up the the Beta testing phase to a wider audience until mid-October. You are now able to play around with new features before the product is even released. Of course the features will not all work as expected at this stage, but you are helping the team to achieve a higher quality level by reporting bugs that you might find.

Being an Anniversary Release, the developers have put in a lot of new and impressive features. Some of them you can already try out on the release server:

  • Modules to allow to set up schemes for the formal sector

  • More modules were migrated into the new modular architecture:

    • User management

    • Medical items and services

    • Medical pricelists

Furthermore, a number of improvements in the application itself and in the interoperability layer have been made … and a few anniversary surprises, that are not available on the release server. Feel free to browse the full list of changes in the Release Notes and to check out the usual links for further information and testing:
